A Breath On The Wind

Your voice a breath on the wind,

only I can hear or understand.

The deepest secret between two

who were more than just friends.

Echoes of that past embrace,

fading in time’s decay.

Yet the memory of your kiss

remains etched on my lips.

Carried by those gales,

shaping the structure of storms.

The ferocity of our love

defined by wasted regret.

Time holds still for,

not lover nor foe.

Two lovers without power

or choice in their lives.

Torn asunder by fallacy,

and broken by truth.

Your breath on the wind,

is all I have left.
